Catalog Browser
The Catalog Browser is one of two helpful
pop up windows JReport provides to simplify the design of reports. The Catalog
Browser consists of three tabs, the Containers, the Draw,
and the Data tab. From the Containers tab you can
insert and create objects such as Text, Charts,
Cross Tab, Sections, Group/Sort, and Sub Reports. In
the Draw tab you can place shapes and special fields into your
report.
But perhaps the most important feature of the Catalog Browser is to
access what you have to tables and fields quickly under the Data
tab. You can easily create, edit, and insert fields from the Working
Set which includes queries, formulas, summaries and parameters.
