What are Queries?
This section includes all the queries that were used by all the reports in this catalog. Double click the Queries icon or click on the + icons to expand this section. Catalog Browser's Query allows you to edit the Working Set and insert more fields into the Working Set. If you wish to insert fields into your report, first select the SQL query (or Working Set) you created in the Data tab. Expand this structure to reveal the desired field you want to place in your report. Double click on the desired field to insert.
Inserting fields into your report:
First, select the field you would like to insert. Double click that field or click on the
icon in the Catalog Browser Toolbar. Position the cursor at
the location for insertion and click.Showing SQL:
If you would like to see a list of all the fields you used in your report, first expand the Query directory in under the Data tab in Catalog Browser. Next select the SQL query (or Working Set) you previously created. Right click and select Show SQL... That will pop up a window to show the actual SQL statement
Editing the Working Set:
If you would like to edit your previous SQL query (Working Set), select the query you created in the Data tab. Next right click to bring up the menu. Select Edit Query... This will bring you the following menu:
