Charts and Graphs

Charts and graphs can be inserted into any report to help present your data.

To insert a chart:

Step 1: Type: A window will appear.  First select which chart you would like to use.




Step 2: Data: JReport creates your graph based upon which fields you selected in the Group tab or how you inserted a group and which fields, function, and break field you chose in the Summary tab or in the insert Summary. 

The Graph Position gives you the option to place the chart either in the Report Header or Footer or in the Group Header or Footer.  However, this does depends on the selections you made in the Group and Summary tab.  Once the chart has been placed, it cannot be moved to any other section.

Step 3: Options
This section allows you to name areas of your chart such as Title, Left Title, and Footnote.

Click the Graph Done button once you have finished.  The graph will automatically appear in the section where you placed it.  NOTE:  The graph you see in the Design area is NOT the same as the final graph you see in the View area.
