Add Policy
Use this dialog box to add another instance of a plural policy to the policy package. Plural policies are those that can be added multiple times in the same policy package.
ZENworks® Server Management has several plural policies that can be added:
- Copy Files: Automates file copying to your servers.
- NetWare SET Parameters: Specifies and optimizes selected SET
parameters for a NetWare® server or group of
NetWare servers. This option is available only for the NetWare tab.
- Prohibited Files: Allows you to monitor and enforce the deletion
or moving of unauthorized files from a specified volume/drive or directory.
- Scheduled Down: Schedules when a server should go down, and
whether it should automatically be brought back up. The policy includes which
command (RESET, RESTART, or DOWN) to use when bringing down the server. This
option is not available for the General tab.
- Scheduled Load/Unload: Automates the loading and unloading order
of NLMTM and Java* Class processes for the selected
servers. However, because many NLM files require user input to unload, unloading
them cannot be automated. This option is not available for the General tab.
- Server Scripts: Automates script usage on your servers. This
option is not available for the General tab.
- Text File Changes: Automates changes to text files.
ZENworks Desktop Management has only one plural policy: Scheduled Actions.
ZENworks Handheld Management has two plural policies that can be added:
- Palm File Retrieval: Lets you specify source files you want to retrieve
from associated Palm* OS* devices and then copy them to a specified destination
location.
- WinCE File Retrieval: Lets you specify source files you want to retrieve
from associated Windows* CE devices and then copy them to a specified destination
location.
IMPORTANT: This dialog box only lets you add another policy to the
package. After you've added the policy, you'll need to configure the policy
to perform the action you want. You can configure a policy by selecting it
in the package's policy list, then clicking Properties.
