Use this property page to know the complete path of the software dictionary files on the Inventory server. You can also use this page to access the dictionary for viewing and updating user defined entries.
Dictionary Path
Displays the location of the software dictionary on the Inventory server.

Access Software Dictionary
Allows you to view the software dictionary entries. You can also use this table to add, modify, and delete the entries in the software dictionary.A software can be identified by more than one key identifier. The Access Software Dictionary option allows you to determine the key identifier whose information should be selected for a software.
To configure the table:
- Click Edit Table.
- In the Configure Software Dictionary table, click Insert to add a new row.
- Specify a filename.
- Click OK.

For example, the Configure Dictionary table has the following entries for MS Word:

If the key identifier has not been defined, the software information for MS Word might be selected from anyone of the above entries.
To ensure that the information from the identifier corresponding to "Winword.exe" is selected, you must select the key identifier check box for "Winword.exe." If you select "Winword.exe" as the key identifier in the Configure Software Dictionary table, the Inventory scanner will store the information related to winword.exe into the Inventory database.
