This property page applies only if you are defining a database for use with Desktop Management or Server Management of Novell® ZENworks® 7 or later.
ZENworks 7 includes a set of predefined reports. To populate these reports with information from the database, Novell ConsoleOne® uses a JDBC* driver to access the database. Use this property page to define the driver information.
IMPORTANT: You should use the Populate Now option to populate the fields with the default JDBC driver information for a Sybase*, Oracle*, or MS* SQL database. You can then modify any incorrect information. If you are using a database other than Sybase, Oracle or MS SQL, you must manually enter information in the fields.
Select the Database
Select the type of the database.
Driver
Specify the full driver class name.
Protocol
Specify the protocol (typically jdbc:).
SubProtocol
Specify the subprotocol (for example, oracle: or sybase:).
SubName
Specify the subname.
Port
Specify the port number.
Flags
Specify the flag.
Database Service Name
For the Sybase database, specify the IP address of the database server.
For the Oracle database, specify the SID server name.
Default Settings
Populates the fields with default JDBC driver information for the selected database.
