Use the Event schedule to run the policy action based upon a specific event.
Run this Policy When the Following Event Happens
Select the event that you want to trigger the policy action:
Server Management
- System Shutdown: Run the action before the server shuts down. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Distributed Server Package.
- System Startup: Run the action when Server Management starts up. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Distributed Server Package.
- Custom Event ID: Run the action when a third-party application-defined event takes place. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Distributed Server Package.
Desktop Management
- User Login: Run the action after the user successfully logs in. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a User or Workstation Package.
- User Desktop Is Active (WinNT - 2000 Only): On Windows* NT*/2000 only, run the action after the user login is complete. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a User or Workstation Package.
- Workstation Is Locked (WinNT - 2000 Only): On Windows NT/2000 only, run the action when a user locks the workstation. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a User or Workstation Package.
- Workstation Is Unlocked (WinNT - 2000 Only): On Windows NT/2000 only, run the action when a user unlocks the workstation. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a User or Workstation Package.
- Screen Saver Is Activated: Run the action when the screen saver activates. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a User or Workstation Package.
- User Logout: Run the action before the user logout is complete. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a User or Workstation Package. If you select the Event schedule type and then select User Logout or System Shutdown, be aware that some scheduled actions cannot occur before the user is logged out or the system shuts down. If actions that are scheduled at User Logout or System Shutdown do not function as expected, try changing the schedule to another event.
- System Shutdown: Run the action before the operating system shuts down. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Server Package. If you select the Event schedule type and then select User Logout or System Shutdown, be aware that some scheduled actions cannot occur before the user is logged out or the system shuts down. If actions that are scheduled at User Logout or System Shutdown do not function as expected, try changing the schedule to another event.
- System Startup: Run the action when the operating system starts up. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Server Package.
- Custom Event ID: Run the action when a third-party application-defined event takes place. This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Server Package.
Handheld Management
- Handheld Cradle/Connect: Run the action when the handheld device connects to the Access Point.
Event ID
This option appears only when creating an Event schedule for a Server Package. Displays the event ID.
