Desktop Application

Distributes Application objects created in Novell^® ZENworks^® Desktop Management to specified locations on the Novell eDirectory^TM tree and distributes the application's associated files to the target Subscriber servers.

This Distribution type is not supported for Linux* and Solaris* servers.

If the Distributor throws an exception during the file gathering process, the Desktop Application Distribution is not built. The Distributor logs the failure in the reporting database.

Select Type
Select Desktop Application.

This dialog box is initially blank. The Distribution's properties are displayed only after you have configured the Distribution using the Desktop Application Distribution Wizard.

Current Configuration
Displays the current configuration of the Desktop Application Distribution. This is the same information that is displayed on the Summary page of the Desktop Application Distribution Wizard.

Setup
Click to open the Desktop Application Distribution Wizard, where you can configure the Distribution.

This is the name of the button before the first time you run the Wizard. The button is then renamed to Modify to enable you to make changes to the Distribution's configuration.

Modify
Click to re-open the Desktop Application Distribution Wizard, where you can modify the displayed configuration.
