This schedule determines when the Distributor reads Novell® eDirectoryTM to determine if it needs to rebuild its Distributions.
IMPORTANT: We recommend the Distributor's Refresh schedule be daily, unless changes to Distributions warrant a more frequent refresh. However, do not refresh the Distributor more often than every three minutes.
Use Policy
Select this option if you want to use the values set in the Tiered Electronic Distribution policy. This check box is displayed if a Tiered Electronic Distribution policy has been created and associated with the container of the Distributor. If you select this option, the rest of the fields are disabled and the effective policy settings are used instead.
Schedule Type
This field is displayed on the Refresh Schedule tab for both the Tiered Electronic Distribution policy and the Distributor object.
For the Tiered Electronic Distribution policy, the Schedule Type you select and configure is the default that Distributors can use.
IMPORTANT: Changes made to Tiered Electronic Distribution objects (other than Distribution) are not in effect until the Distributor reads eDirectory.
