Use this dialog box to create a Gateway alias. Gateway aliases let you define user addresses in your GroupWise® system so that your GroupWise users can select foreign-mail-system recipients from the GroupWise Address Book. Gateway aliases also let GroupWise accept incoming messages from foreign mail systems that cannot accommodate GroupWise addressing conventions.
Create Alias For
Displays the object for which you are creating the alias.
Gateway Alias Type
Browse to and select the gateway alias type for the new alias. The gateway alias
type associates the alias with the appropriate gateway. If no gateway alias
types are listed, you need to define the alias (gateway object > GroupWise
tab > Identification page).
Gateway Alias Address
Enter the address required by the non-GroupWise system. This varies depending
on the non-GroupWise system to which the gateway connects. For alias information
specific to your gateway, see the GroupWise guide for that gateway. Gateway
