Busy Search is the GroupWise® feature that lets users check the schedules of other users or resources while setting up an appointment.
Appointment Length
Specifies the default appointment length
that Busy Search displays in an appointment view (shown as hours and
minutes) or on the calendar (shown as a gray rectangle) when users set up
an appointment.
Range and Time to Search
Sets the default number of days (in the future) for which the users' GroupWise
clients perform a Busy Search. You can also set parameters for the time of day
(start time and end time) for each Busy Search.
Days to Search
Sets the default days of the week for which the users' GroupWise clients perform
a Busy Search. Searches are faster if you limit this range.
Restore Default Settings
Click to return to the default settings and clear any options you have changed.
Lock Buttons
If you click a lock button on any option, users cannot change the default setting
for that option. The lock is effective for the object where you set it: domain,
post office, or user. A lock at a higher level overrides a different setting
at a lower level.
When settings are locked at the domain or post office level, the information is distributed to the levels below it. If a setting is locked at the domain object, the setting in the post office and user objects shows a padlock with a globe next to it, representing a domain. If it is locked at the post office object, the setting at the user object shows a padlock with a postal box next to it, representing a post office.
If a setting cannot be locked at the user level because the option is not available in the GroupWise client, the setting in the user object does not contain a lock button. However, a lock icon shows if the setting was locked at the post office or domain.
