The Calendar options enable various types of calendar publishing for GroupWise® users.
Web Calendar Publishing Host
Select the Calendar Publishing Host for this domain or post office from the
drop-down list. Web Calendar Publishing Hosts are defined by using Tools >
GroupWise System Operations > Web Calendar Publishing
Hosts.
Enable Calendar Publishing
Select this option to let users publish personal GroupWise calendars on the
Internet. When calendar publishing is enabled, users of the Windows client and
the WebAccess client can right-click a personal calendar, then click Publish
to select options for publishing a personal calendar.
Enable Rules to Move Items to a Published Calendar
Select this option to allow users to create rules that move specific items to
a published GroupWise calendar. Rules are disabled by default.
Enable Publish Free/Busy Search
Enable this option to allow users to make their appointment information available
to external users, so that external users can perform Free/Busy Searches on
users' GroupWise calendars. Free/Busy searching is disabled by default.
Enable Subscribe to Calendar
Select this option to allow users to subscribe to Internet calendars that are
updated on a regular basis, such as calendars for sporting events. Calendar
subscription is disabled by default. Calendar subscription can be enabled even
if no Calendar Publishing Host has been selected.
Restore Default Settings
Click to return to the default settings and clear any options you have changed.
Lock Buttons
If you click a lock button on any option, users cannot change the default setting
for that option. The lock is effective for the object where you set it: domain,
post office or user. A lock at a higher level overrides a different setting
at a lower level.
When settings are locked at the domain or post office level, the information is distributed to the levels below it. If a setting is locked at the domain object, the setting in the post office and user objects shows a padlock with a globe next to it, representing a domain. If it is locked at the post office object, the setting at the user object shows a padlock with a postal box next to it, representing a post office.
If a setting cannot be locked at the user level because the option is not available in the GroupWise client, the setting in the user object does not contain a lock button. However, a lock icon shows if the setting was locked at the post office or domain.
