Use the Send Options: Disk Space Management dialog box, to set defaults for limiting the total disk space for items that users can use in their GroupWise® mailboxes.
User Limits
Controls the maximum disk space storage
available to each user for storing message and attachment files in a post
office. This limit does not include the files stored in a message archive.
Mailbox Size Limit
Controls the maximum logical amount of disk space available to users for storing message and attachment files. The setting uses logical disk space because attachments are shared by all recipient users on the same post office. Messages in shared folders are counted as disk space only for the owner of the shared folder.Set the value to 0 (zero) if you do not want to limit the mailbox size. The maximum size limit is 4 TB.
Threshold for Warning Users
Sets a percentage value of the user's mailbox size (specified in the Mailbox Size Limit field above). When this value is reached, GroupWise triggers a warning to users that the space in their mailboxes is reaching its limit. If users continue to send messages until the limit is met, they will not be able to send more until they delete or archive items.Set the value 100 if you do not want GroupWise to send a warning.
Maximum Send Message Size
Specifies the maximum size of a message (in kilobytes) that a user can send using the GroupWise client. If the user sends an item that exceeds this size, a message notifies the user that the item is too large to send.
Limits Apply to Cache
Use the same disk space limits for users' Caching mailboxes on local workstations
as you are using for their Online mailboxes in the post office.
If you impose this limit on users who have existing Caching mailboxes, their Caching mailboxes might be reduced in size in order to meet the new disk space limit. Such users should be warned in advance so that they can back up their Caching mailboxes before the size reduction takes place. Otherwise, user could lose messages that they want to keep.
Notify the Administrator When Threshold Limit Is Exceeded
Select this option so that the administrator is notified along with the
user when the user's mailbox exceeds the size established in the Threshold for
Warning Users field. The administrator who receives the notification must defined
on the Identification page of the Domain object.
Notify the Administrator When Size Limit Is Exceeded
Select this option so that the administrator is notified when the user's mailbox
exceeds the size established in the Mailbox Size Limit field. The administrator
who receives the notification must be defined on the Identification
page of the Domain object.
Restore Default Settings
Click to return to the default settings and clear any options you have changed.
Lock Buttons
If you click a lock button on any option, users cannot change the default setting
for that option. The lock is effective for the object where you set it: domain,
post office, or user. A lock at a higher level overrides a different setting
at a lower level.
When settings are locked at the domain or post office level, the information is distributed to the levels below it. If a setting is locked at the domain object, the setting in the post office and user objects shows a padlock with a globe next to it, representing a domain. If it is locked at the post office object, the setting at the user object shows a padlock with a postal box next to it, representing a post office.
If a setting cannot be locked at the user level because the option is not available in the GroupWise client, the setting in the user object does not contain a lock button. However, a lock icon shows if the setting was locked at the post office or domain.
