A domain organizes post offices into a logical grouping for addressing, routing, and administration purposes in your GroupWise® system.
Domain Name
Enter a unique name. Do not use invalid
characters. You cannot change the domain name after the domain has been
created.
Container
This field is displayed only if you are creating the domain through the GroupWise
View instead of the Novell® eDirectoryTM
Console View. Select the eDirectory container where you want the Domain object
to be created.
Domain Database Location
Browse to or enter the path to the
directory where you want all domain subdirectories, databases, and files
created. Use a standard, eight-character DOS directory name; do not use
extended characters. Do not specify a directory that is already being
used. If the directory does not exist, it will be created.
Language
Select the language whose sorting rules will be used when displaying the GroupWise
Address Book for users in this domain.
Time Zone
Select the time zone where the domain is located. This information enables GroupWise
to adjust appointment times according to local time.
Message Transfer Agent Platform
Select the platform (NetWare Loadable Module, Linux, or Windows) where this
MTA will run.
Link to Domain
Select the domain you want this domain to link to directly. If you have additional
domains, this domain will link to those domains indirectly through the domain
you specify here.
Configure Link
By default, this domain's link to the domain specified in the Link to Domain
field will be established through a TCP/IP connection from this domain's MTA
to the other domain's MTA. Select this option to provide the TCP/IP information
for the link, or to change the link to a direct connection (UNC or mapped path)
while creating the domain. Deselect this option if you want to configure the
link later.
Define Additional Properties
Select Define Additional
Properties to finish defining this Domain object's properties immediately.
These properties affect how the Domain object functions in your GroupWise
system.
Create Another Domain
Select Create Another Domain to
postpone defining this Domain object's properties until after you have
created additional Domain objects. This can save steps when creating
multiple Domain objects.
After creating multiple Domain objects, right-click each Domain object, then click Properties to finish defining each Domain object's properties. These properties affect how each Domain object functions in your GroupWise system.
