An external domain acts as the medium that defines the link between a domain in one GroupWise® system and a domain in another other GroupWise system.
Domain
The domain's name is displayed from the information
entered when you created the external domain.
Description
The description is displayed from the
information entered when you created the external domain.
UNC Path
If you have a direct connection to the external
domain, enter the UNC path.
Syntax
\\server\volume\dir\...\domain_directoryExample
\\server1\sys\routing\hub
If you have no direct connection, you can define the gateway connection in the Link Configuration Tool (Tools menu > GroupWise Utilities > Link Configuration)..
Domain Type
Indicates whether the external domain is a GroupWise system (4.1, 5.x,
6.x, 7, or 8), an Office 4.0 or earlier system, or a non-GroupWise system.
Time Zone
Select the time zone where the external domain
is located.
Database Version
The database version is displayed from the information entered when you created
the external domain.
