An external domain acts as the medium that defines the link between a domain in one system and a domain in another other system.
Domain Name
Enter the name of the domain in the external system. Names are not case sensitive.
Domain Database Location (optional)
If you plan to connect to the external domain through a direct connection (UNC
or mapped path) from one of your domains' MTAs to the external domain's database,
enter the location of the external domain database.
Time Zone
Select the time zone where the external domain is physically located.
Version
Select the GroupWise® version of the external domain. The domain's
version is determined by the version of the MTA running in the external domain.
Link to Domain
Select the domain in your system that you want to link to the external domain.
Messages to and from the external domain will be routed through this domain.
Create Another Domain
If you click this box and then click OK, the Create External GroupWise Domain
dialog box displays again. This saves you some steps when creating several external
domains at the same time.
