An external entity is an object created in Novell® eDirectoryTM for the sole purpose of giving a non-eDirectory user an account in a GroupWise® post office. The external entity appears in the GroupWise Address Book for addressing purposes and in the eDirectory tree for GroupWise administrative purposes, but has no other function.
Use the Identification page to provide information about the GroupWise external entity.
Network ID
Used during authentication, the Network ID must match the naming standard used
in the network that is not using eDirectory. It is
displayed in the Address Book as it appears in this field. If necessary, you
can change it here.
Description
If desired, enter a description for the user. The description is not displayed
in the Address Book.
Given Name
The user's given name is displayed in the Address Book as entered. You can change
it here.
Last Name
The user's last name is displayed in the Address Book as entered. You can change
it here. This is a required field.
Title
The user's title is displayed in the Address Book as entered. You can change
it here.
Department
The user's department is displayed in the Address Book as entered. You can change
it here.
Phone
The user's office phone number is displayed in the Address Book as entered.
You can change it here.
Fax
The user's fax number is displayed in the Address Book as entered. You can change
it here.
Mobile Phone
The user's mobile phone number is displayed in the Address Book as entered.
You can change it here.
Home Phone
The user's home phone number is displayed in the Address Book as entered. You
can change it here.
E-Mail Address
Displays the default e-mail address for the external entity user. Click the
drop-down list to specify a custom e-mail address.
View Client Options
Click View Client Options as a convenient shortcut for Tools > GroupWise
Utilities > Client Options in order to modify client options for the currently
selected external entity.
