A gateway administrator is any GroupWise® user you assign to receive information and error messages from the gateway. The administrator must either be a user associated with GroupWise or with a GroupWise distribution list.
Add
Click Add to display the Select Object dialog box, then browse to and select
the user or GroupWise distribution list that you want to designate as the gateway
administrator. The user's context displays in the Gateway Administrators list.
Delete
Select an object in the Gateway Administrators list, then click Delete to delete
that object from the list.
Administrator Role
Select an object in the Gateway Administrators list, then select an administrator
role:
Operator
A gateway administrator type that enables the gateway program to send messages notifying the designated GroupWise user (that is, the gateway's operator) when certain errors occur.
Accountant
A gateway administrator type that enables the gateway to keep accounting records for every message it sends. Each day, the record is sent to the user designated as the gateway's accountant. Multiple users can be designated as gateway accountants.
Postmaster
Some foreign messaging systems require that a user on another messaging system be designated as a postmaster. Designating this administrator type enables the gateway to route messages addressed to the postmaster user ID in GroupWise.
Foreign Operator
A gateway administrator type that enables a user on a foreign messaging system to send commands to the gateway. These commands enable the gateway to send back status information about gateway operations to the foreign system.
See your gateway documentation to determine which administrator role is appropriate for your gateway. Gateway documentation is available on the Web at the GroupWise Online Documentation site.
