Use the Network Address page to provide the TCP/IP address, IPX/SPXTM address, protocol, and port information used by the GroupWise® Internet Agent.
TCP/IP Address
Click Edit (the pencil button), then provide either the IP address or the DNS
hostname of the server where the Internet Agent runs. For an IPV6 server, you
must specify the hostname.
IPX/SPX Address
Click Edit (the pencil button), then provide the IPX/SPX network and node information
of the server where the Internet Agent runs. This is required only if you want
to enable network management and monitoring programs to use IPX/SPX to send
SNMP requests to the Internet Agent.
Bind Exclusively to TCP/IP Address
This option binds this Internet Agent to the specified IP address when the server
where it runs uses multiple IP addresses. It is enabled by default. The specified
IP address is associated with all ports used by the Internet Agent (message
transfer, HTTP, SMTP, and so on). Without an exclusive bind, the Internet Agent
binds to all IP addresses available on the server.
Message Transfer
In the Port field, specify the port number on which the Internet Agent will
listen for messages from the MTA for the domain. The default is 7102. The port
number must not be in use by another program on the server.
In the SSL field, select Required if you want the Internet Agent to use a secure connection to the MTA. The MTA must also be enabled to use SSL.
HTTP
In the Port field, specify the port number the Internet Agent will use to communicate
status information to your Web browser, providing an Internet Agent Web console
for use with GroupWise Monitor. The port number must not be in use by another
program on the server.
In the SSL field, select Required if you want the Internet Agent to use a secure connection for the Internet Agent Web console. The Web browser must also be enabled to use SSL.
SMTP
In the Port field, specify the port number on which the Internet Agent will
listen for inbound messages from other SMTP hosts. The default is 25. The port
number must not be in use by another program on the server.
In the SSL field, select from the following options to configure the Internet Agent's use of a secure connection to other SMTP hosts. The SMTP host must also be enabled to use SSL or TLS (Transport Layer Security).
POP
In the Port field, specify the port number on which the Internet Agent will
listen for requests from Post Office Protocol (POP) clients that are not using
secure SSL connections. The default is 110. For clients that are using SSL connections,
specify the port number in the SSL Port field. The default for SSL is 995. The
port number must not be in use by another program on the server.
In the SSL field, select from the following options to configure the Internet Agent's use of secure connections to POP clients.
IMAP
In the Port field, specify the port number on which the Internet Agent will
listen for requests from Internet Message Application Protocol (IMAP) clients
that are not using secure SSL connections. The default is 143. For clients that
are using SSL connections, specify the port number in the SSL Port field. The
default for SSL is 993. The port number must not be in use by another program
on the server.
In the SSL field, select from the following options to configure the Internet Agent's use of secure connections to IMAP clients.
LDAP
In the Port field, specify the port number on which the Internet Agent will
listen for requests for directory information from LDAP clients using Lightweight
Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). The default is 389 for a non-SSL connection
and 636 for an SSL connection. The port number must not be in use by another
program on the server.
In the SSL field, select from the following options to configure the Internet Agent's use of secure connections to LDAP clients.
