Edit Domain Link

Use the Edit Domain Link dialog box when setting up a gateway. In a gateway link, the source domain MTA must route messages through a gateway to reach the destination domain MTA.

Description
Indicates how this domain (the source domain) connects to the domain at the other end of the link (the destination domain). Make sure you are editing the correct link.

Link Type: Gateway
Select Gateway.

Gateway Link
If you have created only one Gateway object, the name of the gateway displays in this field. If you have created more than one Gateway object, select the correct gateway name.

Gateway Access String
Specify the keyword string recognized by the foreign system to establish the link between that system and your GroupWise® gateway. It is unique for each gateway. You might need to supply this information to the system administrator at the foreign site.

Return Link
Specify the keyword string that provides the additional routing information needed by the foreign system to recognize your gateway. The return link is the Gateway ID assigned to the gateway when it was created.

Maximum Send Message Size
Specify the maximum size in megabytes for message files the MTA can pass to the gateway.

If a message file exceeds the maximum allowed size, the sender and the administrator receive a "delivery disallowed" message specifying the size of the rejected message file and the size limitation.

A message file includes all text associated with a message: the message body, the distribution list, and attachments if any. Because message files are compressed, attachments that would exceed the maximum size in their uncompressed state can still be processed successfully.

Delay Message Size
Specify the size in megabytes for message files the MTA can pass immediately to the gateway.

If a message file exceeds the delay message size, the message file is moved into the low priority (6) message queue, where only one MTA thread is allocated to process very large messages. This arrangement allows typical messages to be processed promptly, while delaying large messages that exceed the specified size. The result is that large messages do not slow down processing of typical messages.
