Use the Network Address page to provide the IP address and TCP port information that enables the MTA to communicate with other GroupWise® agents and gateways to by way of TCP/IP.
TCP/IP Address
Click Edit to provide the IP address or the
DNS hostname of the server where this MTA runs. For an IPV6 server, you must
specify the hostname.
This information enables you to:
IPX/SPX Address
Click Edit to provide IPX/SPXTM
address information in order to configure this MTA so that network management
and monitoring programs can use IPX/SPX to send SNMP requests to the MTA.
Bind Exclusively to TCP/IP Address
Select this option to bind this MTA to the specified IP address when the server
where it runs uses multiple IP addresses. The specified IP address is associated
with both the message transfer and HTTP ports. Without an exclusive bind, the
MTA binds to all IP addresses available on the server.
Message Transfer
In the Port field, specify the port number on which this MTA will listen for
messages from POAs belonging to the domain. The default is 7100. The port number
must not be in use by another program on the server.
In the SSL field, select Required if you want this MTA to use a secure connection for communication with POAs. The POAs must also be enabled to use SSL.
HTTP
In the Port field, specify the port number on which this MTA will listen for
requests for status information from the MTA Web console. The default is 7180.
The port number must not be in use by another program on the server.
In the SSL field, select Required if you want this MTA to use a secure connection for the MTA Web console. The Web browser must also be enabled to use SSL.
