Create/Edit Scheduled Event

Use the Create/Edit Scheduled Event dialog box to create or modify a disk space management or database maintenance event, including selecting the type of event, establishing its schedule, and selecting specific maintenance actions to perform.

Name
If you are creating a new POA scheduled event, provide a descriptive name for the event you are scheduling. If you are editing an existing POA event, you can rename it if needed.

Event Type
Select the type of POA event to schedule.

Disk Check
Performs selected actions according to the selected space-oriented trigger (percent or megabytes).
Trigger Actions At
Runs the Reduce Only action when available disk space drops below the specified percentage or number of megabytes. When this amount is reached, the administrator is notified according to the type of actions specified for the Disk Check event.
Stop Mail Processing At
Causes the POA to stop receiving and processing messages when available disk space drops below the specified percentage or number of megabytes.
Mailbox/Library Maintenance
Performs selected actions according to the selected time-oriented trigger.
Weekday
Runs Mailbox/Library Maintenance once a week, on the specified day and time.
Daily
Runs Mailbox/Library Maintenance once a day, at the specified time.

Interval
Runs Mailbox/Library Maintenance every nn hours, days, weeks, or months, at the specified time.

Actions
Lists the maintenance actions available for inclusion in the POA event. To add a specific maintenance action to this POA event, click the check box to activate the maintenance action.

Default Audit Report
Select this action to perform an Audit Report to show GroupWise accounts that have had no activity for the past 60 days.

Default Mailbox/Library Content Check
Select this action to perform an Analyze/Fix Database action on user, message, and document databases, with the Contents, Collect Statistics, and Fix Problems options selected.

Default Mailbox/Library Structure Check
Select this action to perform an Analyze/Fix Database action with the Structure and Fix Problems options selected.

Default Disk Space Management Actions
Select this action to perform an Expire/Reduce Messages action with the Reduce Only option selected.

Default Mailbox/Library Structure and Content Check (on legacy systems)
Select this action to perform an Analyze/Fix Database action on user, message, and document databases, with the Structure, Contents, Collect Statistics, and Fix Problems options selected.

Default POA Mailbox/Library Maintenance (on legacy systems)
Select this action to perform an Analyze/Fix Database action with the Structure, Contents, and Fix Problems options selected.

Default POA Disk Space Check Actions (on legacy systems)
Select this action to perform an Expire/Reduce Messages action with the Reduce Only option selected.

Low Disk Space Actions (on legacy systems)
Select this action to perform an Expire/Reduce Messages action with the Expire and Reduce option selected, which deletes received items, sent items, and calendar items that meet specified age criteria.

If the default maintenance actions do not meet your needs, you can create new actions or modify existing ones.

Create
Click Create to create a new maintenance action.

Edit
Select a maintenance action, then click Edit to modify an existing action.

When you modify a maintenance action, all POA events that include the action are affected.
Delete
Select a maintenance action, then click Delete to remove it from the list of available maintenance actions. All POA events that include the action are affected.

To select multiple actions to delete, Ctrl+click each action, then click Delete.
