Identification

A resource is an item or a place, such as a computer, overhead projector, company vehicle, or conference room, that users can schedule.

Distinguished Name
Displays the GroupWise® resource object, using the complete name, or path, from the resource object to the [Root] of the Directory tree, such as ConRoomA1.eng.prv.novell.

Post Office
Displays the domain and post office this resource belongs to.

Owner
Browse to and select a GroupWise user to own the resource. The owner and the resource must belong to the same post office.

File ID
Displays the external resource's unique file ID (FID). The FID is used when generating names for files and directory associated with the resource, such as the resource's database.

Description
Enter information to help identify the purpose of this resource.

Visibility
Select the visibility level for this resource.

Resource Type
Select the resource type. When a user schedules a Place resource, the resource description is automatically added to the Place field in the appointment.

Phone
Specify the phone number of the owner or contact person responsible for this resource.

E-Mail Address
Displays the default e-mail address for the resource. Click the drop-down list to specify a custom e-mail address. For example, if you created a resource with spaces in its name, you need to remove the spaces to create a valid e-mail address.

View Client Options
Click View Client Options as a convenient shortcut for Tools > GroupWise Utilities > Client Options in order to modify client options for the currently selected resource.
