New Addressing Rule

Addressing rules enable users to enter a shortened form of an e-mail address.

GroupWise® allows the creation of Internet domain names. If you have set up Internet domains in your system, any rules including an @ in the search string and a colon ( : ) in the replacement string are ignored.

Description
Enter a string that describes the addressing rule.

Name
Enter a name for the addressing rule.

Search String
Enter a search string consisting of one or more wildcard characters in context using correct addressing syntax.

Replace With
The replacement string replaces the wildcard characters and add any additional addressing information you specify.

Test Address
Enter an address as a user would when sending mail, then click Test to see the address that will be substituted by the addressing rule.

Results
The conversion provided by the addressing rule displays in the Results box.
