Create/Edit Global Signature

Use the Create/Edit Global Signature dialog box to create or edit a global signature. Global signatures become part of the messages to which they are appended, so large global signatures can noticeably increase GroupWise mailbox size.

Name
If you are creating a new signature, specify a unique and descriptive name for the signature you want to create. This name is listed in the Global Signature field when you assign the signature to a user, post office, or domain by using Tools > GroupWise Utilities > Client Options > Send > Global Signature. The name is also listed in the Default Global Signature To Insert In Outbound Messages when you assign the signature to an Internet Agent on the SMTP/MIME > Message Formatting property page of the Internet Agent object.

HTML
Use the HTML box to compose a global signature to append to HTML formatted messages.

HTML Editing Tools
Basic HTML editing tools provide the following formatting options:

To reduce the size of the signature, you can specify the URL to an image, rather than including the image itself in the signature.

Plain Text
Use the Plain Text box to provide a plain text version of the global signature to append to plain text formatted messages.

If you do not provide a plain text version, one is generated automatically. If you save the HTML global signature and then open the Edit Global Signature dialog box, the automatically generated plain text signature is displayed in the Plain Text box. You can edit it as needed to improve the appearance. If you subsequently edit the HTML global signature, you must also edit the plain text global signature to match.
