Edit Class of Service - SMTP Outgoing

Use this dialog box to determine whether or not members of the class of service can send Internet mail messages.

SMTP Outbound Defaults

Inherit Access
Select this option if you want members of this class of service to inherit their access from a class of service assigned at a higher level. For example, a post office would inherit the domain's access. If the domain was not a member of a class of service, the post office would inherit the default class of service.

Allow Outgoing Messages
Select this option to allow members of the class of service to send e-mail messages over the Internet. You can use the Exceptions option to prevent messages from being sent to specific Internet sites.

Prevent Outgoing Messages
Select this option to prevent members of the class of service from sending e-mail messages over the Internet.

Exceptions
Click Exceptions to create a list of specific Internet addresses that users are allowed to send outgoing messages to, even though they are usually not allowed to send outgoing messages to specific Internet sites.

Prevent Messages Larger Than
If you want to set a size limit on outgoing messages, select the limit.

Rule-Generated Messages

Allow Replies
Select this option to allow the Internet Agent to send messages that were generated by a GroupWise® rule, such as a vacation rule. If you do not select this option, automated replies such as vacation notification messages are not sent to Internet recipients.

Exceptions
Click Exceptions to create a list of specific Internet Addresses that are handled opposite to the Allow Replies setting.

Allow Forwards
By default, the Internet Agent blocks all rule-generated forwarded messages, because such messages can be a security issue. Select this option to allow the Internet Agent to send messages that were forwarded by a GroupWise rule.

Exceptions
Click Exceptions to create a list of specific Internet Addresses that are handled opposite to the Allow Forwards setting.
