New Internet Address/New Blacklist Address

Use this dialog box to add an address for the following:

Exceptions List - Class of Service
Exceptions List - SMTP Relay Access
Blacklist Service

Edit Class of Service - Exceptions
This information applies only if you've accessed the New Internet Address dialog box to define exceptions for a class of service you are creating or editing.

Enter the Internet address of the site that you want to add to the Exceptions list. The Internet address can include a full user address, IP address, or DNS hostname, as shown in the following examples:

jsmith@novell.com
novell.com
10.1.1.10

You can also use wildcards and IP address ranges, as follows:

*@novell.com
*smith@novell.com
*.novell.com
*vell.com
10.1.1.*
10.1.1.10-15

NOTE: If you use an IP address when adding an exception for incoming SMTP messages, the Internet Agent enforces the exception at connection time. In other words, if the IP address is an allowed exception, the Internet Agent connects to and receive messages from any SMTP host with that IP address; if the IP address is a prevented exception, the Internet Agent refuses the connection. If you use a DNS hostname, the Internet Agent enforces the exception by first connecting with the SMTP host and then verifying the hostname included in the MailFrom line of the SMTP message being received.

SMTP Relay Access - Exceptions
This information applies only if you've accessed the New Internet Address dialog box to define exceptions for the SMTP relay.

In the From box, enter the Internet address of the site you want added to the Exceptions list. In the To box, enter the Internet address of the site you want the message forwarded to. You can use either an IP address or a DNS hostname, as shown in the following examples:

novell.com
10.1.1.10

You can also use wildcards and IP address ranges, as follows:

*.novell.com
*vell.com
10.1.1.*
10.1.1.10-15
