Use this property page to schedule the times when the GroupWise® Internet Agent initiates a dial-up Internet connection. This schedule is enforced only if you have enabled the Internet Agent to use a dial-up connection (Dial-Up Settings page).
The Internet Agent uses profiles to enable you to assign different dial-up criteria to different times. For example, the default profile instructs the Internet Agent to initiate a dial-up connection whenever an outgoing message is placed in its send queue. However, during the night, you might want the Internet Agent to initiate a connection only after 30 outgoing messages have been queued. In this case, you could create a profile that requires 30 messages to be queued and then apply the profile between the hours of 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. each day.
Schedule Grid
The schedule grid, which displays each hour
for a complete week, shows the times when profiles have been applied. The
default profile, shown in white, is applied to all times that are not
covered by another profile. When you select a profile (other than the
default profile) in the Profiles list, the hours that the profile applies
to are displayed in green. The hours that other profiles apply to are
displayed in gray.
To apply a profile to a block of time, select the profile in the Profiles list, then click the desired hour or drag to select multiple hours. Each hour can have only one profile applied to it.
Profiles
The Profiles list displays all profiles you've
created. Profiles let you establish dial-up criteria based on number of
queued messages, total size of queued messages, and minutes between
connections. Profiles also let you define settings that control the
dial-up actions of the routing service being used to create the dial-up
connection.
