Migration

This is the migration utility for NIS.

NetWare Host Name/IP Address
Enter the NetWare® Hostname or IP address of the server.

Domain Name
Enter the name of the domain.

Domain Context
Enter the context that you want to place your domain in.

Set the Specified Host as Master Server
Check this to set the host as the master NIS server

Checking this box activates the Master Server Info section. Enter the following details in this section:

Clear Existing Maps
Check this if you want to clear the maps already present. If you do not check this, you can select one of three options for migration:

Update
Updates all existing objects' information with the new information. If no objects exist, it creates new ones.

Replace
Deletes all existing objects. Creates new ones.

Merge
Retains all existing objects' information. If no objects exist, it creates new ones.

Uncheck the Set the Specified Host as Master Server check box if you want the NIS Server to be a slave. This activates Slave Server Info section. Enter the Master Server Name/IP Address.

Click Migrate to migrate the domain for default maps. The default maps available are ethers, hosts, networks, protocols, rpc, services, passwd, group, netgroup, and bootparams.

Click Advanced to migrate the domain for specific maps or to add a new map. This opens the Map Information panel.
