This page allows you to add, edit, or delete the subject names of certificates that belong to this user.
All certificates contain a subject name which identifies the owner of a certificate. Certificates may also have alternate subject names. These are other names by which the owner is known or identified.
When authenticating a user using certificates, NMAS expects that for the user Tom, whose NDS object is cn=tom.ou=sales.o=abcco, the subject name or alternate subject name (of type X500) will specify Tom's NDS object name as the owner of the certificate.
This property page is provided so Tom can use certificates that properly belong to him but do not contain his NDS object name as the subject name or alternate subject name.
You can specify the allowable certificate subject names Tom is known by, such as tom@abcco.com. If, during certificate authentication, a certificate is presented which contains any of the names in the Allowable Subject Names list as the certificate subject name or an alternative subject name, NMAS will accept the certificate as being owned by the user.
