Login Sequences

A login or post-login sequence is an ordered set of one or more login or post-login methods.  Users log in to the network using these defined login sequences.  If the login or post-login sequence contains more than one login or post-login method, the methods are presented to the user in the order specified. All login methods are presented and must be successfully completed before any post-login methods are presented.

A login sequence has a sequence grade, which is the composite of all authentication grades of the methods in the sequence.  For example, if a login sequence contains a password login method and a biometric login method, the login sequence would have a sequence grade of "Biometric & Password."

You can set up multiple login or post-login methods per login sequence.

This page allows you to view, add, modify, or delete login sequences.  To use this page:

1.  Select a login sequence from the Defined Login Sequences drop-down list.  The Sequence Grade and Login and Post-Login methods that comprise this sequence for the selected method will display under Selected Login Methods and Selected Post-Login Methods.  Available login and post-login methods that are not part of the sequence will display in either the Available Login Methods or Available Post-Login Methods lists.

2.  To add or remove login or post-login methods from the sequence, use the left- and right-arrows.

3.  To change the sequence order of the login or post-login methods, use the up- and down-arrows.

4.  To add a new login or post-login sequence, click New Sequence, enter the sequence name, add the methods, and define the login or post-login sequence order.

5.  To delete a sequence, select the sequence from the Defined Login Sequences drop-down list and click Delete Sequence.

6.  To save changes, click OK or Apply. To exit without saving changes, click Cancel.

Note:  Sequences that do not have a method associated with them will not be saved.
