Use this property page to configure the template settings for the application. When the application receives information from a service provider, it merges the information into a template type that is supported by the user's browser. If you have not already created templates for the application to use, you must do so.
Template Path
Select the location of the template base directory. The template base directory
contains a separate subdirectory for each set of the templates you create for
the application.
Java Package
Specify the Java* package that contains the template resources used by the application.
If you want to mirror the location for other Novell® applications, use a com.novell.application_name.templates
Java package and make sure the resource file is in the appropriate directory.
The appropriate directory depends on the server platform and Java servlet engine
you are using.
| Server and Servlet Engine | Directory |
|---|---|
| Linux* server with Tomcat | /opt/novell/groupwise/webacc/tomcat_dir/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/com/novell/application_name/templates |
Images URL
Specify the URL for the application's image files. If you want to mirror the
location for other Novell applications, store the files in a com/novell/application_name/images
directory under the Web server's document root directory. The images URL is
then relative to the Web server's document root directory (for example, com/novell/application_name/images).
Applets URL
Specify the URL for the application's applets. If you want to mirror the location
for other Novell applications, store the files in a com/novell/application_name/applets
directory under the Web server's document root directory. The applets URL is
then relative to the Web server's document root directory (for example, com/novell/application_name/applets).
Help URL
Specify the URL for the application's Help files. If you want to mirror the
location for other Novell applications, store the files in a com/novell/application_name/help
directory under the Web server's document root directory. The help URL is then
relative to the Web server's document root directory (for example, com/novell/application_name/help).
Caching
To speed up access to the template files, the
application can cache the files to the server's memory.
Enable Template Caching
Select this option to turn on template caching.Cache Size
Select the maximum amount of memory, in kilobytes, you want to use when caching the templates. The default cache size is 1024 KB.
User Interface
The application uses the following settings
to ensure that it displays the correct user interface to Web browser
users.
Default Language
If you have more than one language installed, select the language to use when displaying the application's initial page. If users want the interface displayed in a different language that you've created templates for, you can enable users to change the default language on the initial page.Define User Interfaces
The application can support Web browsers on many different devices (for example, computers and wireless telephones). Each device supports specific content types such as HTML, HDML, and WML. When returning information to a device's Web browser, the application must merge the information into a set of templates to create an interface that supports the content type required by the Web browser.Click the User Interface button to view, add, modify, or delete user interfaces and to associate user interfaces with specific Web browsers.
