Use the Add LDAP Server dialog box to define information about the LDAP service you want to add to the LDAP Provider's list or use the Edit LDAP Server dialog box to change information about an already defined LDAP service.
Name
Enter a descriptive name for the LDAP service (for
example, BigFoot). This is the name that will be displayed in the
GroupWise® WebAccess Address Book.
Server
Enter the IP address or DNS hostname of the LDAP
server (for example, ldap.bigfoot.com).
Port
Enter the port number that the LDAP server uses. The
default is 389.
Maximum Results
Enter the maximum number of search results you
want the LDAP server to return. The default is 100.
Timeout
Enter the amount of time (in seconds) to wait for
responses from the LDAP server. The default is 30 seconds.
Search Base
Enter the base or root of the LDAP directory in
which to search for names. For example, the base could be a country,
organization, or other type of grouping.
Image URL
Some LDAP services require that you display their service logo when accessing
their LDAP server. In the GroupWise WebAccess Address Book, this is done for
all predefined LDAP services. By default, these images are located in the com/novell/webaccess/images
directory under the Web server's document root directory.
If the LDAP service you are defining has these requirements, enter the URL for the service's image file.
Web URL
As with the image, some services require that you
provide the URL for their Web site when accessing their LDAP server. In
the GroupWise WebAccess Address Book, this is done for all predefined LDAP
services.
If the LDAP service you are defining has these requirements, enter the URL for the service's Web site.
Username
Enter the username required to access the LDAP
service.
Password
Enter the username's password.
Define Field Mappings
To display LDAP directory information
in the GroupWise Address Book, the LDAP fields must be mapped to the
appropriate GroupWise Address Book fields. Click this button to define the
field mappings.
