New Service Provider Object
Use this dialog box to select the type of service provider object you want
to create and to give it a unique name. The object is created in the container
that was selected before you started the creation process.
Type
Select the type of provider object you want to create:
- GroupWise: Used to represent the GroupWise® Provider
installed on a Web server. The GroupWise Provider must be associated with
the WebAccess Application (running on the same Web server) and a WebAccess
Agent. After these associations are made, the GroupWise Provider can communicate
with the WebAccess Agent to provide the WebAccess Application with the GroupWise
information being requested by GroupWise WebAccess users.
- GroupWise WebPublisher: Used to represent a GroupWise WebPublisher
Provider installed on a Web server. The GroupWise WebPublisher Provider must
be associated with the WebPublisher Application (running on the same Web server)
and a WebAccess Agent. After these associations are made, the GroupWise WebPublisher
Provider can communicate with the WebAccess Agent to provide the WebPublisher
Application with the library documents being requested by GroupWise WebPublisher
users.
- GroupWise Monitor: Used to represent a GroupWise Monitor Provider
installed on a Web server. The GroupWise Monitor Provider must be associated
with the Monitor Application (running on the same Web server) and a Monitor
Agent. After these associations are made, the GroupWise Monitor Provider can
communicate with the Monitor Agent to provide the Monitor Application with
the MTA, POA, Internet Agent, or WebAccess Agent information being requested
by GroupWise Monitor users.
- LDAP: Used to represent an LDAP Provider installed on a Web
server. The LDAP Provider communicates with an LDAP server to provide
the WebAccess Application with directory information.
- Generic: Used to represent a third-party provider installed
on a Web server.
Name
Enter a name to identify the object. The name must meet
the following criteria:
- Start with a letter.
- Contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens (no spaces allowed).
- Be unique within the container where the object is being created.
