WebPublisher Settings

The GroupWise® WebAccess Agent services both GroupWise WebAccess and GroupWise WebPublisher (an optional component of GroupWise WebAccess). Use this page to configure the WebAccess Agent settings that apply to WebPublisher.

WebPublisher Proxy User
GroupWise WebPublisher requires a GroupWise user account. The GroupWise user account, referred to as the WebPublisher proxy user, serves two purposes:

GroupWise Mailbox ID
Enter the mailbox ID of the GroupWise user account you want to use for the WebPublisher proxy user.
Password
Enter the password of the GroupWise user account.

Library Access
GroupWise WebPublisher publishes documents from libraries where access has been granted.

Allow Access to These Libraries
This list displays the libraries that have been published. WebPublisher users can retrieve documents only from published libraries. In addition, authors must explicitly share their documents with the WebPublisher proxy user before WebPublisher users can view them.

For example, if you have a Marketing library for marketing collateral and an Accounting library for financial documents, you could publish the Marketing library but not the Accounting library. Authors of documents stored in the Marketing library would then determine whether or not their documents are shared with GroupWise WebPublisher users.

Assign General User Access to WebPublisher Users
When sharing documents with GroupWise users, an author can assign individual access rights and general access rights (through the General User Access option). The General User Access rights determine the access for all GroupWise users who do not receive individual access rights. For example, if a document's author sets the General User Access to View, all GroupWise users with access to that library can view the document.

This option lets you determine whether or not you want WebPublisher users to have General User Access rights. For example, with this option enabled, WebPublisher users can view any documents that have General User Access set to View.
