Workstation Access Settings

This page allows you to modify the workstation access method for each sequence that uses the workstation access post-login sequence. You can also customize the default settings. Default settings will be used for all sequences that use the workstation access post-login method and do not have specific settings established.

Sequences Using Workstation Access Method

Use the drop-down list to select the sequence you would like to view or modify. <Default> is not a sequence, but controls the settings that all sequences will use when no specific settings are established for that sequence.

The Use Default Settings check-box is disabled for <Default> but enabled for all other sequences. When the Workstation Access Method is assigned to a sequence, the Use Default Settings box is automatically checked. When checked, all other Workstation Access parameters are disabled, indicating that this sequence is using the default settings. To customize the settings for a sequence, uncheck this box.

Workstation Access Method Settings

If you uncheck the Use Default Settings box, you can customize the following:

• Activate Workstation Access -- Uncheck this box to disable (but not remove) the workstation access method for the sequence. Check this box to activate the method.
• Timeout Action -- If you select Lock Workstation, the workstation will lock after the timeout value has been reached. To lock the workstation, the user will be required to complete the same login sequence they used when they last logged in at that workstation. If you select Logout Workstation, the workstation will be logged out after the timeout value has been reached. The user will be required to log in to the network.
• Timeout Value -- You can set the amount of inactivity time a user has before the lock or logout action is taken.
