Hardware Scan

Use this property page to configure the Hardware Scan settings of the Workstation Inventory policy.

Hardware Scan Configuration

Enable DMI Scan
Enables Desktop Management Interface (DMI) scanning for the workstations associated with the Inventory policy. The scan programs collect the DMI information for the workstation only if this option is enabled.
Enable WMI Scan
Enables Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) scanning for the workstations associated with the Inventory policy. The scan programs collect the WMI information for the workstation only if this option is enabled.

Custom Hardware Configuration

Perform Custom Scanning
Click this option to enable Custom scanning for the workstations associated with the Inventory policy. The scan programs collect user-defined information for the workstation only if this option is enabled.
Custom Scan Executable
Enter the name of the application that should be used for the Custom scan.
Custom Attribute Editor
Click to customize the list of software applications to scan for at the workstations associated with the Inventory policy.

Use the Custom Attribute Editor to maintain the list of software applications that you want to scan for at the workstations.
