Schedule

Use this page to schedule automatic updates of the application files included in this Handheld Application object. When you schedule automatic updates of application files, ZENworks^® Handheld Management checks the application source files in the Source directory (specified on the Files page) for updated files. If new or changed files are found, updates to the Handheld Application object will be redistributed.

Enable Automatic Updates
Select this option to enable automatic updates.

For recurring software distributions (distributions that are scheduled to run more than once, for example, weekly), ZENworks Handheld Management automatically scans the package’s source directories at the scheduled time and includes new or changed files with the software distribution.

This allows an administrator to copy new or updated files to the source directory for distribution to handheld devices without needing to create a new Handheld Application package.

When you select the Enable Automatic Updates option, the Schedule Update Time and Schedule Type options become available.

Schedule Update Time
Use the arrow buttons to schedule the time of day that ZENworks Handheld Management will check the application source files for new or updated files.

Schedule Type
Choose a schedule type from the drop-down list.

Daily
Use the Daily schedule to schedule automatic updates for specific days or for specific times each week.

Schedule Update Day(s)
Select the days you want to schedule automatic updates for. A day is selected when its button is depressed.

Weekly
Use the Weekly schedule to schedule automatic updates once per week.

Schedule Update Day
Select the day you want to schedule automatic updates for. A day is selected when its button is depressed. By default, every Sunday is selected.

Monthly
Use the Monthly schedule to schedule automatic updates once per month.

Day _ of the Month
To specify the day that you want to schedule automatic updates, select this option, then select the day. If you specify 29, 30, or 31, and the month does not have that many days, the update will run on the last day of the month.

Last Day of the Month
To schedule automatic updates the last day of the month (whether 28, 29, 30, or 31), select this option.

Yearly
Use the Yearly schedule to schedule automatic updates once per year.

Date
Click the Calendar icon to select the day that you want to schedule automatic updates for.
