The Handheld Service package currently contains only the Handheld Import policy. This policy applies only to the associated Novell® eDirectoryTM Handheld and Service objects.
Platforms
The Policies tab contains only the General platform page. The Handheld Import
policy that you configure and enable on this page allows importing of BlackBerry*,
Palm* OS*, and Windows* CE devices.
Policies
Lists the available policy (Handheld Import), indicates whether it is enabled,
and displays its schedule status.
The Enabled column indicates whether a policy is enabled. To enable or disable the Handheld Import policy, click the check box in this column.
The Policy column lists available policies. The Handheld Import policy is the only policy available in the Handheld Service package.
Handheld Import: Lets you enable importing of BlackBerry, Palm OS, and Windows CE devices into the eDirectory tree. Before you can manage handheld devices in your organization, you need to import handheld objects into eDirectory.
The Schedule column indicates the schedule status of the policy. N/A means it cannot be scheduled.
To select a policy without enabling or disabling it, click the policy name.
Properties
Displays the properties of the selected and enabled policy.
Reset
Resets the selected policy to its default values.
