Use this page to enable user authentication.
If user authentication is enabled, users will be prompted for their credentials and ZENworks® Handheld Management will authenticate the users using LDAP to log in to the directory. Once authenticated, you can target policies and applications to the user of the handheld device.
There are two places in ZENworks Handheld Management where you can enable user authentication: while you are configuring one of the Client Configuration policies in the Handheld package (the page you are currently viewing) and while you are configuring the ZENworks Handheld Management Service object (right-click the service object, click Properties, then click the User Authentication tab).
Override the Server Configuration
Check this option to override the user authentication settings of the ZENworks
Handheld Management Service object.
Enable User Authentication on Handhelds
Check this option to enable user authentication. This option is not available
unless the Override the Server Configuration check box is enabled.
