Report Creation and Design
To begin your report, you must use the Report Wizard to create the basic design of the
report. JReport prompts you to define what tables, fields, summaries, and other
options are used in a very rough report design. In this way Report Wizard saves you time in the basic organization and
layout of data from the database.
To begin this function click on File/New or click
on the Standard
Toolbar. You will be given several choices for Report Wizard formats in the
Choose Report window. Refer to the Choose Report section
for details on existing templates you can use. Once you have chosen a report format
use the Report Wizard to guide you through the steps on creating a report.
The rough report
Report Wizard will only generate a rough and basic design of your report.
It is up to you, the report designer, to edit and format your data into a well
