Report Wizard - Display Tab
Report Wizard allows you to quickly create a basic design of the
report. JReport prompts you to define what tables, fields, summaries, and other
options are used in a very rough report design. In this way Report Wizard
saves you time in the basic organization and layout of data from the database.
The Fields tab allows you to specifically define which fields you
want to see in your report. This is different from selecting fields in the Data tab. In the Data
tab, you select fields for the query, which allows you access to them later in the
report.
How to select fields:
To select which fields to show in your report, first expand the directory structure by
double clicking on the table name icon or clicking on the + icon in the Working Set
menu. Second, highlight either the table name or the field name which you want to
place in the Fields Displayed in the Report (FDR) menu. Lastly,
press the arrow button to place your field or table in the FDR
menu.
If you do not want fields you placed in the FDR menu to be seen in your
report, select the unwanted field and press the opposite arrow button.
To get rid of all the fields, press the << button.
